Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman (American gymnast) was both a team member as well as the captain of the Fierce Five in 2012 in addition to the team captain for the 2016 Final Five US Women Olympic Gymnastics. In the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals for floor and team events, and a bronze in the balance beam. In 2012, she became one of the few American athlete to achieve the highest number of medals in the Olympics. In the 2016 Olympics she was awarded gold in the team event that brought her and co-teammate Gabby Douglas the credit of being the first Americans to earn back-to-back team golds. Also, she received silvers in the individual all around event and floor exercises. After the 2 Olympics she had taken off from competitive gymnastics for three years. She was also a part of the gold-winning American team at 2 World Championships. Gymnastics was her first sport of choice in the age of 2 and her most favorite sport is floor exercises. Aly is an active member for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation to honor her mother, who died from cancer. Aly is planning to pursue an occupation as a designer. She hopes to pursue growing her collection of leotards. Fierce, a new book she is working on is due out sometime in the coming year.
